Samuels Ozoliņš  ⎜Kreenholm Garden (latvia)

Samuels Ozoliņš is an artist from Riga, Latvia, currently based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Samuels focuses on performance art, contemporary movement and interdisciplinary live art practices. His way of working includes collaborations, environmental responsiveness and somatics. His practice is a way of making sense of the world through the body and its sensations.

Samuels will do a site-responsive somatic movement workshop MOVING WITH/IN. The artist will attempt to share how he works with spaces and environments. Together we will listen to our bodies and the surroundings, sense them and move with the grass, trees, wind, sun and creatures around. We will prioritize our bodies and their sensations over our rational thoughts. 

Another one will be «Foraging and potion-making». This workshop is an effort to share knowledge on foraging and self-made medicines. There is a generational gap in passing this information on, so grandparents, witches and wizards, take your children — let’s gather and make potions! The artist invites everyone to share knowledge, bring and talk about plants and their personal ways of healing.
