The one-evening long exhibition will take place 29 December in the building of Narva Art Residency. It is the result of the residency of Ukrainian artist Maksym Kozlov. Maksym was initially supposed to start his residency on the 27th of Feburary 2022, but for known reasons it was postponed until this December.
The series of works by Maksym Kozlov works was created on office paper found in the building of the residency and using black ink bought in the local art supply shop. The short-term show will demonstrate the works that he executed during one week of Being at NART. They show the artist playfully dancing with the materials as well as the prints of his body.
This exhibition questions the dynamics of being present at a place such as Narva at these times. It also highlights how it is to exist during the cold winter temperatures, how does this influence the body and the muscles of the body. The other residents will be filming the pop-up exhibition and how the artist has engaged with his materials.
The doors open at 18:00.
Entrance is free.
Bring your slippers, if possible.
