Artist-in-residence Leri Matehha will show her film “Thomas der Hochspringer” on Saturday. It was her graduation project at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. It tells the story of a young man Thomas, who lives an isolated life in a sports camp with his mother. His only contact with the outside world is through sport. The boy’s mother has high ambitions towards her son, which bring her into contact with trainer Frank. However, against the backdrop of Frank’s alternative approach, the mother’s authoritarian role begins to disappear.
