Next Monday, February 24, we invite you to celebrate the 107th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia. The day’s program brings together tradition and art.
At 9:00, the Independence Day celebration begins with Narva Estonian Society. The dance group Värtnad will perform “Saaremaa valss” and “Koduküla nõmmed”. The celebration continues with group dances “Kikkapuu” and “Tuustepp”, inviting everyone to join in.
From 9:00 to 16:00, John McGarity’s video installation will be open to visitors. Set in the former projectionist’s room of an old cinema, the work explores the movement of light and time—forces beyond human control. Usually closed to the public, this space will be open for one last time in its original state before renovations begin.
At 11:00, Noor Projekt MTÜ will host a creative workshop where participants can paint T-shirts and fabric bags. Inspired by Estonian patterns and Narva’s history, guests will have the opportunity to create something unique. All materials will be provided on-site.
Everyone is welcome!
