Karolina Janulevičiūtė is an artist and maker, who is exploring storytelling narratives through textiles and clothing. Her background in Fashion design studies allows using acquired skills and tools to conduct artistic research within the Baltic region. “Focusing on self-taught and learned methods of plant-dyeing, during the residency, I would like to curate, seed, and care for a bed of plants, used for textile printing and dyeing. With the focus on materiality, locality and time, I wish to indulge in the processes of preparing, planning, seeding, planting, and caring. Each takes different lengths of time, allowing space for growth while simply waiting.”
